Spontaneous Poem by Hudson, fifth grader

Spasmatic times in my life
Promises are made and kept by me
Optimistic thoughts flow through my head
Naturally thinking what is going on
Terrific love all around us.
Automatic thinking right then right there.
Notorious hearts beating hard!
Exotic movements moving so slowly
Outrageous things out there waiting to be seen
Unbridled behavior throughout the world.
Sensational minds waiting to be found!

Mask Poem by Madison, RCE fifth grader

MONDAY NIGHT IN THE LIGHT I SEE A MASK FLOATING.
ASKING ME TO COME CLOSER IN THE LIGHT FLOATING.
SEEING IT WITH BOTH EYES SENDS CHILLS DOWN MY SPINE IN THE LIGHT FLOATING.
KEEPING MY EYES ON IT, AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT’S IN THE LIGHT BREAKING.

The format of this poem has been changed from the original created by the student, the original format was not able to be used.

At the pumpkin patch
It looks like
A pumpkin parade
Round and wobbly
Orange and gray

Masks are black and
White, sparkly and
Pink. I want that

The Snake Incident by Nicholas Y., Third Grade

One day a long time ago, my mother and I were sitting the living room, when I excused myself to the bathroom. When I opened the door I froze! My mom came in and screamed!! There was a foot long snake slithering around the toilet! All of a sudden my mom ran to the kitchen and came back with a cake dish. Slowly she paced around the sna,e. All of a sudden she slammed the cake dish on the snake. When my Dad got home, he kille the snake. The End!

The Christmas Book by Evie U. Third Grade

Every Christmas Eve my family sits on the couch and reads a Christmas story. I sit in my mom’s lap and I sometimes read it. Sometimes we have friends come.
It was fun playing in the snow in 2005. I got my robe on and my house shoes and went outside and started licking my mom’s car ‘cause it had snow all over it.
